What to Expect

Destinations

CairoGizaLuxorValley of the KingsKarnakAswanAbu Simbel

Begin in Cairo, where the Great Pyramid of Giza and the Egyptian Museum reveal the breadth of a civilisation that endured for three thousand years. Travel south to Luxor — the world's greatest open-air museum — for private access to the Valley of the Kings before the crowds arrive. Continue to Aswan, where the Nile narrows and the pace of life slows to something ancient. Throughout, a dedicated Egyptologist accompanies you, translating not just hieroglyphs but the entire weight of what you are witnessing.

Day by Day

Your Itinerary

Every day is a starting point. Your Egyptologist and concierge will adapt the pace and sequence to suit your preferences.

Day 1–2Cairo & Giza

Arrival in the Ancient Capital

Your private transfer meets you at Cairo International Airport and delivers you to your suite at the Four Seasons Nile Plaza. The afternoon is yours to settle in. On day two, your Egyptologist escorts you to the Giza Plateau at dawn — before the gates open to the public — for an uninterrupted encounter with the Great Pyramid, the Sphinx, and the Solar Boat Museum. Lunch at a private rooftop overlooking the pyramids. Afternoon: behind-the-scenes access to the Grand Egyptian Museum's conservation labs.

Day 3Cairo

The Egyptian Museum & Old Cairo

A private morning in the Egyptian Museum with your Egyptologist — the Tutankhamun galleries, the Royal Mummies Hall, and artefacts that rarely make the public tour. Afternoon in Coptic Cairo and the Khan el-Khalili bazaar, with a private guide navigating the medieval lanes. Farewell dinner at a Nile-side restaurant.

Day 4–5Luxor

The World's Greatest Open-Air Museum

Fly to Luxor and transfer to the Winter Palace. Day four: the East Bank — Karnak Temple at dusk when the crowds have gone, and the Luxor Temple illuminated at night. Day five: the West Bank. Your Egyptologist arranges after-hours entry to the Valley of the Kings — three tombs, no other visitors. Deir el-Bahari, the Colossi of Memnon, and the Valley of the Queens complete the day.

Day 6–7Luxor — Edfu — Aswan

Sailing South

Board your private Nile cruiser for the journey south. Stop at the Temple of Horus at Edfu — arriving by private horse-drawn carriage from the dock — and the double temple at Kom Ombo, where crocodile mummies are kept in a dedicated museum. Arrive Aswan as the sun sets over Elephantine Island.

Day 8–9Aswan

Nubia & the High Dam

Two days in Aswan at the legendary Old Cataract Hotel. Chartered felucca at sunset around Elephantine Island. Private visit to the Nubian Museum and the unfinished obelisk. Day nine: fly to Abu Simbel for a private sunrise visit to Ramesses II's great temple — arriving before the first public coach — then return to Aswan for a farewell dinner on the hotel terrace.

Day 10Aswan — Cairo — Departure

Farewell

Morning at leisure on the Aswan corniche. Private transfer to the airport for your flight to Cairo and onward connection. Your Egyptologist accompanies you to the airport and ensures a seamless departure.
